The Position:
Establish strong business partnerships with assigned business departments in order to analyse current and future learning needs, provide timely, and focused online solutions and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solutions provided. The role will liaise particularly closely with L&D Managers, assigned business departments, third party vendors and Procurement and Logistics.
Job Outline
1. Work Programme and Budgetary Support: Establishment the annual online work programme by conducting an annual review with customer groups to identify learning needs. Work with the customer and L&D Manager eLS Production to adjust the work programme for assigned customers to meet changing needs and priorities. Advise on resource requirements, infrastructure needs and budgetary requirements as input to the annual budgeting lifecycle and embrace a culture of cost- efficiency by adhering to the agreed budget and identifying and implementing cost-effective work practices.
2. Business Support: Establish and manage effective partnerships with assigned business and L&D managers so as to understand short and long-term business operating plans and take a proactive role in identifying online learning needs. Conduct initial analysis and create sound business cases where appropriate. Project a professional image and demonstrate high calibre of knowledge, skills and attitude in order to strengthen and sustain effective relationships.
3. Measurement of Effectiveness of Learning: Establish evaluation strategies to measure the success and effectiveness of the developed solutions using the Kirkpatrick 4 level model as a base, in collaboration with the customer and stakeholders. Analyse results and recommend changes to content, programmes or curricula as appropriate to meet business needs.
4. Missionand Values: Implement plans in alignment with the departmental mission, values, goals and policies; demonstrate behaviours to represent and promote these and act as a champion in change management.
5. Consultancy: Act as a consultant on the application of online technology to meet business needs. This includes advising and educating assigned customer groups on effective use of this medium for content delivery as well as advising on evaluation, monitoring and transfer of learning to the workplace.
6. Quality Management: Adhere to defined quality and standards and action improvements to ensure interventions are current, relevant, accurate, and fit for purpose.
7. Project Management: Project manage courseware production by third party vendors to meet specified quality, time and budget criteria. This will involve supervising the work of individuals who are not direct reports (such as consultants and internal subject matter experts working on outsourced projects), being responsible for acceptance of proposals, the quality of project deliverables, justifying and raising RFPs and agreeing on the release of payments for completed work against available budgets.
8. Management Reporting: Produce management reports on a defined cycle for line managers, customers and stakeholders so as to support decision making and enable review of trends and performance of content and processes.
