Job Description

Parc Aviation on behalf of our client the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul division of a fast growing major carrier with the mission of being a leader in an ever-changing world. The airline currently operates at over 60 locations internationally with a diverse fleet, this position will present significant and interesting challenges for the successful candidate. Although based in Western Europe the role will require extensive international travel.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director International Line Maintenance will be responsible for all international line maintenance activities conducted at the Line Maintenance Stations including:

Responsibilities

- The establishment of the line maintenance operations at various outstations to EASA 145 level under the current approvals
- Generation of the business plan for the Division.
- Maintaining international and local relations with appropriate authorities, agencies and service providers striving to provide a first-in-class international Line Maintenance Operation.
- Direct liaison between the Chief Executive Officer, flight scheduling department, line station supervisors and line station Technicians under his/her control 
- Recruitment Management of staff, including training requirements, emergency situations, transfers, vacations, replacement, and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for safety risk assessment for new line station set-up.
- Ensure that the work performance and technical dispatch reliability fulfils the goals and company expectations.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensuring staff conform to safety procedures in accordance best local and international standards.
- Report within the regulatory time scales to the Airline Director of Quality, the MRO Quality department concerning any incident/accident/Mandatory occurrences/ Internal Occurrences/safety hazards and any other reports, as required.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators to ensure service levels are achieved and maintained.


The preferred candidate will ideally have:

- Extensive experience in the establishment and/or running of an international  line maintenance operation
- Hold appropriate qualifications such as airline management degree or equivalent management degree
- A minimum of 10 years experience of line maintenance management
- Strong business acumen combined with a good knowledge of airline/MRO line maintenance activity.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail
- A solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
- To hold or have held appropriate licences eg B1/B2 B777 B767 would be an advantage.
