As a Senior Operations Officer with the team in Dorset, you will be reporting to the Operations Manger and will have supervisory responsibilities over the day to day operations at our Bournemouth airport site. Cobham Aviation Services operates more than 150 fixed and rotary wing aircraft. It operates the largest civil maritime surveillance contract in the world, provides Operational Readiness and Electronic Warfare training for NATO forces and trains all UK helicopter pilots for the Navy, Air Force and Army.

As a Senior Operations Officer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Proven experience within the aviation industry with exposure to air traffic management/coordination
• Recent man-management / supervisory experience
• Previous experience of working with or within the military will be considered an advantage

As a Senior Operations Officer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Monitoring and programming of aircrew training checks and keeping the associated hard copy records
• Assisting the Operations Manager with the rostering of aircrew and the production of flying programmes as well as maintaining hard copy documentation of crew duty records
• Providing cover for the duty ops shifts during periods of leave and sickness as well as providing weekend standby cover on a rota basis
• Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence
