Job Description

NDA, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer~

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and provides technical analysis to support the development and documentation of thermal environment to establish the system design. Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements either through testing or analysis. Candidate should have significant background, education, and experience in thermodynamics, heat transfer and air flow analysis. Performs and documents analyses. Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses, selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design. Trains, coaches and mentors others. Works under minimal direction. The subject group is mainly involved in heat transfer (conduction, convection, & radiation) and air flow analyses primarily for client specific applications.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience using Thermal Desktop, SINDA, PATRAN, NASTRAN, or other meshing tools and thermal solvers are preferred but not required. Background in Environmental Control Systems (ECS), Heating Ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), Fuel Systems and Propulsion or other aerospace systems development desirable.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
