Job Description

Structural Design, Catia V5, Enovia, Primary Structures~

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commercial airplane airframe structures engineering design position. Apply knowledge of structural design, materials, design definition principles, regulatory/qualification environment, and configuration management principles to create structural designs of commercial airframe products. Evaluate designs and perform trade studies for performance, structural adequacy, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Integrate technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Document results in drawings, datasets, reports, specifications, and supporting data. Interface with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must have evidence to show they are capable of performing structural design, and lay-out capability using client approved structures workstation tools. CATIA V5 and ENOVIA/PDM experience highly preferred. Candidate must have structures engineering experience with Large / primary aircraft structures (fuselage, wing, empennage, control surfaces, landing gear, and doors, with either composites or metal structural systems experience, etc.). Candidate must be able to plan and organize their time to work productively and efficiently while being able to adjust to multiple demands. Good teaming and communication skills required. Strong mechanical aptitude is desired. Strong communication skills and proficiency with standard PC desktop applications is required.
Previous client specific experience preferred.

EDUCATION:
REQUIRES B.S. OR M.S. DEGREE IN ENGINEERING (MECHANICAL, CIVIL OR AERONAUTICAL PREFERRED) DEGREE AND TYPICALLY A MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN AN ENGINEERING CLASSIFICATION.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 - 3:30
