Tool Design, Catia V5, Enovia, Major Assembly~
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides Tool Engineering skills, knowledge, and experience in lean build, delivery, post-production, modification, and recovery processes to solve complex manufacturing problems, resulting in affordable, producible and sustainable products. Must be able to perform Aerospace type tooling design tasks with emphasis on Major Assembly Fixtures, Locating Jigs, Boring Fixtures, Major Modification Tools along with Support Plans, Design and Production Validations, Retrofit, Repairs, and Tool Usage Instructions.
Should have ability to coordinates and resolves critical, complex or high visibility tooling issues with customers and suppliers. Perform Tool Design Reviews, and develop complex analysis (e.g., stress, static and dynamic loading, thermal factors, etc.) Works under consultative direction.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge:
Experienced in Aerospace Tool Design to include, but not limited to: Major Assembly, Boring, Modification, Machine Fixtures, Locating Jigs, Computer Aided Measurement & Assembly, Fabrication Liaison Support, fluent in CATIA V5, working knowledge of Product Management systems such as ENOVIA, PC knowledge in Word Processing (i.e., MS Word), Spreadsheet Development (i.e., Excel) & Graphical Slide Presentation (i.e., Power Point).
Problem Solving:
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are economical, highly innovative, and ingenious.
Discretion:
Receives Assignments and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Work is checked through consultation and agreement with development team, rather than formal review by a superior.
Liaison:
Supports fabrication projects and programs.
Typical Educ/Exper: Degree in classical engineering fields or proven equivalent work experience.
WORK HOURS: 7:00 - 3:30
