Power Plant engineer with knowledge and experience working on RB211 and CFM-56 engines.
Reporting to the Powerplant Manager you will be responsible for carrying out Engineering requirements relating to aircraft engines, APUs and nacelle. Through your knowledge and technical expertise of aircraft powerplants you will have responsibility for reviewing all aspects of aircraft engine systems and advise on the appropriate course of actions. Liaising closely with internal departments and external manufacturers you will ensure the continued serviceability and reliability of all aircraft powerplants.
The role will involve interaction with the aircraft maintenance department, providing advice and where required guidance related to trouble shooting and exploring defects. Analysis of data will form a key part of the role where you will be required to analyse engine data, producing maintenance programmes for individual engines but also analysing data produced by reliability programmes.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a similar role and have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels. Knowledge of Boeing 737 and 757 powerplants would be preferable but is not essential. You will have a flexible approach to working hours and travel will form an integral part of the role.
