AircraftEngineers.co.uk have been instructed to source a Fleet Engineer to provide technical support for our client's fleet of Airbus Single Aisle aircraft in compliance with EASA Part M, Subpart G. In this role, you'll manage repairs performed by the Part 145 organisation, ensuring that they are carried out using data approved by EASA or by a suitably approved Design Organisation. You'll liaise and correspond with Type Certificate holders, Supplemental Type Certificate holders and third party Design Organisations on technical and commercial issues. You'll ensure Airworthiness Directive compliance within your area of specialty, confirming AD applicability and ensuring engineering requirements are accomplished within limitation. A focal point of expertise, you'll advise and coordinate within the Engineering and Maintenance Department and other areas of the business. You'll compile Engineering Orders and Job Instruction Cards, presenting technical instructions in a systematic, clear and logical manner to the Part 145 maintenance organisation. You'll perform investigations into Safety Reports, identifying root cause and contributing factors, performing an overall analysis of the incident and you'll make recommendations for remedial and preventive actions. You'll manage corrosion findings arising from the Corrosion Prevention and Control Programme, preparing reports and reporting back to the UK CAA. You'll then develop the maintenance programme with agreed remedial actions. You'll administer Structural Repair Inspections derived from SRM or case-specific repair approvals, including scoping, forecasting, and assignment on our AMOS system. You'll review and record concessions issued by Airbus during production, identifying any concessions adversely affecting asset value and you'll engage with the Fleet Transition team as necessary. You'll also support Fleet Reliability Engineering by performing investigations into technical issues adversely affecting the client's On Time Performance, reporting back in a concise and timely manner with suggested corrective actions.Requirements of the Role To be considered for this role, you'll have significant experience in an organisation performing Part 145 and/or Part M activities, preferably in a technical services role. You'll be familiar with the Airbus SA family and will have a have detailed knowledge and an understanding of aircraft metallic and composite structures, EASA Part M, Aircraft Maintenance Programmes, and aircraft reliability management. You'll have a Professional Aircraft Engineering Qualification (Degree, HNC) and/or vocational training in the form of a recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme. You'll need to be willing to travel within the UK and internationally, sometimes at short notice and outside of normal working hours.
