Job Description

Design Engineer, Catia V5, Enovia~

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contract design engineer on new wing development program for high speed, long range business jet. Designs, researches and develops structural engineering layouts, components and assemblies involving metallic structure for product design or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, fuel and/or systems integration. Develops and maintains engineering bill of material and product structure. Coordinates the inputs of a variety of disciplines including stress, manufacturing engineering, materials and processes, and product support to ensure all engineering requirements are incorporated into the design. Specific design engineering specialties may include airframe, flight control surfaces, mechanisms and subsystems installation consisting of fuel, hydraulics and wire harness routing. Tools utilized include CATIA V5 and Enovia.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives. Works under supervision of direct company design lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Direct customer coordination, supporting design-to-cost activities and ensuring weight targets are met. Incorporation of all customer technical requirements into assigned designs.

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and six years of related experience.
CATIA V5 required.
Experience with Enovia LCA and VPM Navigator is a plus.
Practical experience with Catia V5 Advanced Design and/or Specialty Workbenches (Kinematics, Tubing, Electrical, Sheet Metal) also a plus.
