Job Description

Our Aerospace client in Yeovil are looking for a Catia NC programmer to join their facility in Yeovil.

To undertake a variety of programming roles for 3 and 5-axis machining centres and CMM equipment. The role will also require the individual to support value streams in digital work instructions.


Experience:

It is desirable that the successful candidate has solid experience of the following:
Expert user status on Catia V4.
A sound working knowledge of Catia V5 & Enovia (DMU).
NCMill - solid basis in 3-axis & 5-axis nc machining with a solid grounding in work-holding
Post-processor development abilities - have the ability to create/develop post-processors as required. (Solidworks).
Solid grounding in MS-Office including Powerpoint

Knowledge:

Demonstrate a knowledge of low-cost work-holding techniques vis--vis machining of prismatic parts.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the design & use of vac fixtures in a sheet-metal/composite environment.
It is desirable that candidates understand high-speed machining techniques (particularly high-speed routing).

Qualifications:

Have served a technical apprenticeship or equivalent in the aircraft industry or in a similar environment.

Skills

Be a team player with an ability to convey thoughts clearly & concisely to colleagues at all levels of technical ability.
Ability to analyse technical issues & communicate solutions accurately to machine operators via easy-to-understand drawings and/or other technical documents.
Demonstrate an ability to work quickly & accurately without supervision.
Be cost-aware.
