Job Description
Our Aviation / Airline client are looking for a Fleet Engineer to join their existing team.
Reporting to the Head of Design; to provide
technical support for the airlines fleet of Airbus
aircrafts in the showing of compliance
with EASA Part M, Subpart G
Role Accountabilities
>?? Management of repairs performed by the Part 145 organisation, ensuring that
repairs are carried out using data approved by the Agency (EASA) or by an approved
Part 21 design organisation
>?? Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA). Performing necessary investigations and analysis to add
up the value of the benefits of a proposed change, and subtracting the costs
associated with it. Compilation of data and presentation up to senior management
level using MS Powerpoint
>?? Ensure Airworthiness Directive compliance within area of speciality, confirm AD
applicability and ensure compliance with AD requirements are accomplished within
limitation
>?? Assessment of Service Bulletins, dissemination of applicability, technical data and
performing investigations as required to determine appropriate course of action
>?? Liaison and correspondence with Type Certificate holders, Supplemental Type
Certificate holders and third party Design Organisations on technical and commercial
issues
>?? Support Fleet Reliability Engineering by performing investigations into technical
issues adversely affecting the airlines On Time Performance, reporting back in a
concise and timely manner with suggested corrective actions
>?? Act as a focal point of expertise within area of speciality and advise/co-ordinate
appropriately within the Engineering and Maintenance Department and other areas
of the business
>?? Perform investigations into Safety Reports issued to you through the airlines safety
data system, identifying root cause and contributing factors, performing overall
analysis of the incident, and making recommendations for remedial and
preventative actions
>?? Compilation of Engineering Orders and Job Instruction Cards, presentation of
technical instructions in a systematic, clear and logical manner to the Part 145
maintenance organisation
>?? Technical review and recording of concessions issued by Airbus during production,
identification of any concessions adversely affecting asset value and engagement
with Head of Fleet Transitions as required
>?? Input of Weight and Balance data into the airlines AMOS system, including upon
aircraft fleet entry and through continuous management of data resulting from
aircraft re-weighs
>?? Management of corrosion findings resulting from Corrosion Prevention and Control
Program, preparation of reports, reporting back to the UK CAA and development of
the Aircraft Maintenance Program with agreed remedial actions
>?? Administration of AMOS damage/repair charts. Management and analysis of
The airlines AMOS computer system to reflect of current damage/repair status.
Systematic update of AMOS damage/repair charts to reflect current status
>?? Administration of Structural Repair Inspections derived from SRM or case specific
repair approvals, including scoping, forecasting and assignment on the airlines AMOS
computer system
>?? Assume responsibility for the technical content of the Aircraft Maintenance Program
within area of expertise and development of associated task cards
>?? Support aircraft transition activities
Key Skills Required
>?? Candidates will have a Professional Aircraft Engineering Qualification (Degree, HNC)
and/or vocational training in the form of a recognised Aircraft Engineering
Apprenticeship Scheme
>?? You will have demonstrable experience within an organisation performing Part 145
and/or Part M activities, preferably within a technical services role
>?? Candidates will have a detailed understanding of the Continuous Airworthiness
requirements prescribed by EASA Part M and the regulatory framework
>?? Candidates will have a understanding of aircraft reliability management
>?? Candidates will have a understanding of the content, purpose and function of the
Aircraft Maintenance Program
>?? You will have excellent English language and written skills, and be able to
communicate at all levels concisely and effectively
>?? Candidates need to have intermediate to advanced MS Office Skills and will be
expected to use Word, Excel and Powerpoint
>?? You will be willing to travel within the United Kingdom and Internationally,
occasionally at short notice and outside of normal working hours
