Job Description

B2 LICENSED AIRCRAFT ENGINEER

Gatwick Line

4x4 Nights - 10.25 Hour shift

Ref: LGW-IAS-1795 (Internal & External)

Job Purpose:

  

We have a vacancy for a B2/B1R Engineer at London Gatwick.  The candidate is required to be type rated on A320/CFM56 family.  Preference will be given to candidates who additionally hold B737NG, and A330/340. With experience of light maintenance and hangar checks delivering to a tight dead line. It is preferred that the candidate holds an EASA Pt66 licence.  Additional duties will include:

  Key Responsibilities:

Ø  Accomplishment of inspection and maintenance tasks as required by customers with optimum use of manpower and recourses in the most efficient and cost effective way.

Ø  To liase at all times with customer liaison engineers, MCC and customer service reps to ensure that they are fully informed of developments in a delay situation

Ø  Responsible for the standard of work carried out by himself and those under his control.

Ø  Reporting significant defects encountered to relevant departments.

Ø  Ensuring the equipment and premises in his charge are maintained to a satisfactory standard and that discrepancies are reported to the appropriate departments, both within and external to The Company.

Ø  Ensuring all company and legal requirements appertaining to aircraft inspection and maintenance are complied with.

Ø  Maintaining acceptable airworthiness, safety and performance standards in his area of responsibility.

Ø  Ensuring that Company Health and Safety policy is complied with.

Ø  Ensuring that Company and Customer procedures are complied with.

Ø  Such other duties as may be required from time to time.
