Job Description

Head of Mechanical and Fluid Systems

Aviation or Aerospace background is essential with at least ten years work experience within an airline company

This job entails responsibility for all Aircraft general systems

• 1. Fuel/Air/Environmental control Systems
• 2. Hydraulics
• 3. Oxygen

Dealing with the design and performance analysis of

• 1. Flow Dynamics
• 2. Thermal Properties

Your responsibilities will include checking approval of

• 1. Reports
• 2. Drawings
• 3. Test Schedules
• 4. Test reports

Co-ordination of work procedure with the systems design groups

Head of department also carries the responsibility for training and staff development

A working knowledge of computer aided design, CFD and a recognised flow and/or heat transfer software package would be an advantage.

 The position requires a level of qualification and experience that cannot be attained without several years in tertiary education, to at least degree level or equivalent. Considerable experience, including time spent in a design management role is required.

Membership of an appropriate engineering institute is expected.
