Fluid Mechanical Systems Engineer

12 Month Contract

Based in Dorset

Pay Rate: £35 - £45 per hour

BPSS Clearance will be required.  

We require 2 Fluid Mechanical Systems Engineers for a 12 month contract.

The successful candidates will join the A400M air to air refuelling project team, engaged in systems engineering activities associated with the two air to air refuelling systems under development for that aircraft.

 Applications are invited from systems engineers with qualifications in mechanical, aeronautical and fluid systems engineering.

 Candidates will have a strong background in the development of new systems and components for aircraft (new product development experience is key), and will have a background in fuel systems, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.

 The subject systems will include electro-mechanical & electronic equipment such as motors & control equipment, fluid components, actuators, sensors and trailing components.

 Key activities include:
1. Preparation of technical estimates for non-recurring costs and manpower requirements
 2. Requirements capture, validation and definition of verification strategy
 3. Allocation of requirements to sub-systems and components
 4. Preparation of Specifications and other project documentation
5. Risk management Technical management of external suppliers
6. Liaison with customers Liaison with internal specialists such as design, performance, ILS, Product Support and Operations
7. Support to rig, ground and flight tests as required and according to experience.
