Job Summary We are responsible for delivering Component Engineering Specifications (CESs) to our client to support the manufacture of components, using a process agreed and now embedded with all stakeholders.
This process requires drawings to be reviewed and the design intent to be understood; quality requirements to be identified and applied to ensure the manufactured components satisfies the design intent; the generation of CAD models; and the technical delivery of the CES documents to our client.
This job primarily involves reviewing, understanding and applying existing information consistently across components. We are currently working on CESs for valves but are hoping to expand this to other components, e.g. pumps, in the near future. We require engineers to work with an existing CES Team, undertaking the process of producing CESs and obtaining Technical Authority sign-off from our client.

Qualifications Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Essential Criteria Experience in one or more of the following technical disciplines are required: Component design Design for manufacture Quality requirements for components in a nuclear steam-raising plant CAD modelling
Desirable Criteria Experience of steam-raising power plant and components (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, pipework etc) Nuclear industry knowledge
Responsibilities
- Undertake the CES production process
- Deliver CES documents to stakeholders; set-up and lead Technical Review meetings; manage technical queries; and obtain stakeholder agreement
- Generate CAD models
- Ensure that both internal and external technical governance requirements are satisfied
- Deliver against time, cost and quality requirements Work within project teams
Rate The daily rate for a 7.5 hour day to include travel and subsistence to the designated place of work in the Midlands is in the range of £300-£400 per day depending on level of experience.
