Job Description

Test Engineer, ATE, In-Circuit Test~

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manufacturing Test Sustaining Engineer will work in support of Manufacturing to enable it to meet its production objectives by maintaining test equipment and making necessary changes to that equipment to sustain the manufacturability of products through-out the product's lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Support maintenance and repair of manufacturing ATE platforms (test systems - including calibration, fixtures, hardware and software). ATE may include Agilent, Checksum, Cimtek, NH Research, National Instruments, Teradyne, Wayne Kerr, Yelo and Zehntel.
· Perform analysis to determine the impact of ECNs and MDNs.
· Perform the necessary test equipment changes (hardware and software) to support ECNs and MDNs.
· Enhance manufacturing efficiency by using sound engineering practices to drive Continues Improvement.
· Provide feedback to Test Engineering Developers and Design Engineers to improve DFM, DFT and overall test quality and efficiency.
· Analyze test yield data to improve the manufacturing process.
· Train production operators and test technicians on newly introduced test procedures, fixtures and systems.
· Support company safety, quality, reliability, cycle time, and on-time delivery objectives.
· Work to all relevant ISO and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
· BS in Electrical Engineering
· 5 years manufacturing test sustaining experience.
· 3 + years experience in functional test with in-circuit test a plus.
· 3 + years experience supporting test software (C, C++, LabVIEW & TestStand).
· Experience in Lean Concepts, a plus.
· Strong troubleshooting skills - root cause analysis.
· Team oriented attitude and ability to work in a dynamic, goal oriented environment.
· Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor others.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong technical skills to develop and report metrics of all testing activities.
· Strong self-management and decision making skills.

EDUCATION:
· BS in Electrical Engineering
