Configuration Design, Unigraphics NX6, LRU's~
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and perform air vehicle configuration design & integration tasks. These tasks include the following; create and work on existing aircraft UG models and drawings. These areas may be: outer mold-lines, fuselage, weapons pylons (wing), empennage, rotors, main / tail, landing gear, engine and engine bay, fuel systems, crew stations, transmissions/accessories, drive system, avionics, avionics/pass-thru bay (s), EFABs with proper placement of Line Replacement Units (LRUs) - avionics equipment. Creates vehicle configuration designs from customer requirements. Evaluates these designs and performs trade studies to assess feasibility, performance impacts, structural adequacy, and cost effectiveness. Works under minimal supervision with strong ability to interface directly with IPT teams on their subsystems such as, Airframe, Electrical, Propulsion, Drives, Weapons/Sights, Comm/Nav, ASE, ECS, R&M and Weights/CG. Assist in the development of the aircraft Digital (Vis) Mock-Up. Utilize 3D models to develop the following Top Air Vehicle drawings; Three View (3V), Inboard profile, Mission Equipment (MEP) arrangement, Clearance Definition, Mod drawings, Kit and kit collector, ICD and ICD collector drawings and other top AV drawings.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must be very proficient in using Unigraphics (NX6), and Product Data Manager (PDM) Teamcenter (TcE Version 10) to develop designs, define, maintain, and release engineering product data in electronic data sets or drawings to include layouts three-dimensional models, engineering drawings, and parts lists.
Use independent, creative thinking and resourcefulness to develop technical solutions to complex problems and identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Independently determine and develop approach to solutions. Education: A minimum of an Associate's Degree from ABET accredited institution and requisite years experience. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills required UG NX6 minimum and PDM TcE.
