Job Description

Primary Objective

The Head of Engineering & Planning will report to the Associate VP Engineering & Planning. The role will encompass planning, reliability and technical records. The position is based in Lagos and available now.

 
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Define and develop cost effective program modification policies that match the requirements of the airline fleet strategy, whilst ensuring the highest technical standards are approved
Ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements - and statutory responsibilities and directives which relate to engineering and planning activities - are in compliance
Maintain the highest levels of technical standards in safety and reliability
Ensure prompt responses to Manufacturer and Regulatory Authority requirements
Review and response to MOR's ASR's, company incident reports, manufacturer's recommendation reliability investigations etc - taking the appropriate action, within defined timescales and budget
The completeness and accuracy of documentation used for the planning, executing and recording of all maintenance tasks are to be ensured (and completed in accordance with approved OEM data)
Record and monitor fleet reliability data and compare the Airline's achieved performance and trends with required safety and business targets
Monitor the service ability of aircraft on a continuous basis
Analyse aircraft technical reports and aircraft data
Monitor technical log pages and status reports in a timely manner
Liaise with the contracted maintenance organization(s) and/or maintenance management service provider to ensure that all relevant maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with the Approved Aircraft Maintenance (AMP) and that mandatory and repetitive inspections are accomplished on time

Who Will Our Client Hire?

A Degree in an Engineering or related area is preferred
You should be a Senior Engineering Planner, with at least 5 years experience in Engineering Planning and 2 in a Senior position
Experience with 3rd party MROs is important - effective communications and liaison to achieve required delivery is key
The position is based in Lagos, to please don't apply if that location doesn't suit you
