Our client is an international provider of engine management services solutions and they are now seeking to recruit Work Shop Team Leader to join their Maintenance Services Team.
The post holder will be responsible for the effective management of the workshop team and maintenance activity deliverables relative to engine maintenance, inspections and storage in line with aviation regulations, WAML Maintenance Organisation Exposition and WAML quality standards.
The post holder will also be required and responsible for carrying out maintenance activities associated with Willis Group and client owned aero engines, modules and transportation stands.
The post holder must be an organised, articulate and determined individual who is a qualified aircraft/engine technician with at least 5yrs relevant experience within an aviation maintenance environment and previously held supervisory or team leader positions.
The post holder will be expected to hold a 145 CRS signatory company approval and is expected to uphold and demonstrate all the key skills expected of such position.
The role may require an element of off-site / overseas travel for both maintenance activities and training.
The role will require the willingness to participate in an ‘on call rota’ to cover out of hours activities.
Principal Responsibilities and Activities
·The efficiency and delivery of day to day workshop operations and assuming control of, or when required appropriately delegate, maintenance activities including engine lifting and engine receipt and dispatch.
·Ensuring that each maintenance activity progresses in line with the maintenance plan and for highlighting to the Maintenance and Planning Manager and Maintenance Planning Engineer where the schedule has fallen, or is likely to fall, behind.
·Ensuring correct and proper use of the Daily Activity/Handover Log.
·Supports the Maintenance Planning Engineer with ensuring adequate resource availability for all maintenance activities
·Supports the Maintenance Compliance Engineer and Maintenance & Planning Manager with ensuring that suitably qualified and competent individuals are assigned to appropriate maintenance activities, along with the availability of suitable tools, equipment and technical documentation.
·Highlighting to the Maintenance & Planning Manager where overtime is required to either maintain or recover the maintenance plan.
The accurate interpretation and execution of work orders, task cards, work scopes and technical documentation in order to subsequently deliver and brief the workshop team of the activities in hand. This may also entail conducting appropriate launch/close out meetings.
·Undertaking all assigned maintenance activities as assigned by the Maintenance and Planning Manager i.a.w WAML EASA/FAR 145 maintenance level approval as recorded within the latest revision of the company Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
·Issuing, (as a company Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) signatory) regulatory Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) i.e EASA Form 1 / FAA 8130-3 etc i.a.w defined procedures within WAML MOE and FAA Supplement Document.
·The post holder must ensure that he/she remains fully conversant and up to date with airworthiness and regulatory standards and requirements relating to maintenance activities conducted at WAML.
·Able to navigate and find relevant data within the OEM manuals (EMM, AMM, PPBUM, IPC, SPM…) is essential, as some of the maintenance activities will be conducted as a lone worker. The ability to further interpret the manual data accurately is also a key requirement.
·In conduct of the maintenance activities, the post holder will be responsible and expected to carry out all such activities as per the OEM manual requirements utilising all specified tooling/alternative tooling, and must notify the Maintenance Compliance Engineer / Quality of any maintenance / documentation errors encountered as required under EASA regulatory Mandatory Occurrence Reporting CAP382 procedures.
