Morson are have a requirement for a Visual Basic - Course Administrator to work at RNAS Yeovilton. The position can be very flexible and can either be worked as a full time or part-time position. This contract is a package of work. The role would ideally suit somebody who is out of work, between contracts or wants some extra work alongside current contract.

This vacancy would ideally suit a candidate with Visual Basic experience.

Job purpose

An IT Word, Visual Basic expert, that would like a one off contract to set-up planning office student forms into templates, so that the process could be quickened, reduce the chance of a input error and free up other staff for other tasks.

Please find below an outline specification for the introduction of enhanced electronic templates to automate the production of course specific administration forms. Automatic form production using a set of standard templates will provide significant benefits over the existing manual system, particularly workload reduction given the number of courses being administered delivered and frequency of changes to course particulars that need to be incorporated.

Outline specification

  1. Each of the following course specific forms shall be automatically created for a selected course on demand, either singularly or as a set, using a pre-defined form template:
  • Student Bio Form
  • Student Fitness Declaration Form
  • Student Notes Signature Sheet
  • Student SYOPS Signature Sheet
  • Student Access Card Allocation Sheet
  • Course Attendance Register
  • Arrival Pack Labels
  • Certificate Collection Sheet
  • Course Satisfaction Report
  • Exam Result Sheet

On creation, each form shall be automatically populated with course data as defined in the associated template from the following data set:

  • Course start date
  • Course completion date
  • Course Title
  • Course Identity
  • Allocated classroom number
  • Full name, rank, service number, PUID name of each student (up to 12)
  • certificate number for each student (up to 12)

The value of each item in the course data set shall be determined from the contents of a user specified Course & Test Report and Course Timetable.

All templates shall also be suitable for manually creating and populating the associated course form as a reversionary method for producing the forms.

The user shall be able to change the layout and data content of each form by amending the associated template.
