Serco currently have an exciting opportunity to join us at Skynet 5 as Trainee Satellite Systems Operator. You will be responsible for the configuration and real time operation of a variety of satellite ground and communication systems to provide round the clock uninterrupted satellite support. This is a full time permanent role working 12 hour rotating day and night shifts.

This is a rare opportunity to embark on an exciting career in a highly specialised and sought after field. We provide a comprehensive 2 year training program and support for gaining qualifications in Electronics Engineering.

You will be educated to A-Level or equivalent in Mathematics or a Science related subject. We are looking for candidates who display an interest in space, are naturally technically minded and show the potential, aptitude, attitude and desire to want to start a new and exciting career as a Satellite Systems Operator with us at Serco, one of the World’s most renowned Government service companies.

Please note: Due to the remote location, you will need access to or have your own transport.

This job is offered subject to successfully obtaining SC Clearance. You must hold a British Passport or be eligible to hold one and have resided in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
