Client and Overview

An award winning international airline based in the UK, due to continued expansion, are now actively seeking a Tool Store Person to join them on a permanent basis at their Luton base of operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that all tooling received is undamaged and the correct quantity
  • Placing any damaged item s in quarantine, until the discrepancy is resolved
  • Ensuring the calibration periods of calibrated tooling and equipment is not exceeded.
  • Ensuring replenishment of stock as required. Assisting with the search for urgently required tooling.
  • Control the issue and return of specialist tooling.
  • Control of tooling loaned to other bases
  • Complying with the appropriate Departmental Detailed instructions
  • Compliance with known and notified health and safety requirements, communicating them to others when appropriate
  • Ensuring that company and contracted customers` policies are complied with
  • Acceptance of other duties and responsibilities- as may reasonably be requested

Key Requirements

  • To demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation;
  • Operational experience in a stores/tooling environment
  • High degree of customer focus – both internal and external
  • Able to work effectively in a team in all levels of the organisation
  • Willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems
  • Fork lift driver
  • Current driving license
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
