Morson are recruiting for Tool Store Operative to work for our world recognised aerospace client based in Somerset.
To provide Logistic support to Wildcat maintenance staff at RNAS Yeovilton.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Responsible to the Toolstore Supervisor for the control and management of the Wildcat Maintenance Logistics, Material, Support and Tool Control elements as directed by the Toolstore Supervisor.
Assist the Toolstore Supervisor in managing the Logistics Department.
Control the Aircraft spares store and assisting the Toolstore Supervisor in accounting/stock control.
Manning the Tool Store and issuing tools and support equipment IAW the requirements of MAP-01 and Wildcat Maintenance (WM) OPs.
Issue and control of Consumables
Stores delivery and collection
Stores handling and use of Mechanical Handling Equipment where appropriate
Packaging of Stores and Equipment to approved standards as detailed in JSP886, MAP-01 and WM OPs for transit and unpacking / control of received stores for issue
Upkeep and cleaning of storerooms to meet required storage conditions and to comply with Health, safety and Environmental requirements.
General assistance including other activities as directed by the Logistics Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Must be experienced in MoD logistic / supply procedures including JSP 886.
Must have a detailed working knowledge of MAP-01 Chapter 6 (Tool Control)
Must be familiar with stores, stock control and accounting processes / procedures
Information Technology literate with a knowledge of all basic Microsoft desktop applications
Good working knowledge of MJDI and GOLD.
Integrity and professional approach.
Possess excellent English reading, writing and listening skills with astute business and commercial awareness.
Be prepared to attend courses for personal development or business need away from site if necessary.
Receive mandatory and continuation training as directed.
Carry out any other tasks within their capability and experience in support of the contract.
