Operations and Engineering in the Space Industry


        Function description

  •  
    • Analyse requirements and translate into a Thermal Control Concept
    • Support design and development of  the Thermal Control subsystem by analysis and trade-offs of thermal control design concepts
    • Solve thermal control design problems in consultation with in-house specialists, customers and subcontractors
    • Validate the Thermal Control Concept by Thermal Balance testing and/or analysis
    • Specify thermal control equipment and/or hardware
    • Contribute to overall system design on related subjects (interfaces, risk and budgets)
    • Contribute to the Thermal Control Engineering knowledge base


        Job requirements

  •  
    • (University degree (MoS) Physics)
    • Knowledge and experience with the design of thermal control systems
    • Knowledge, experience on design of mathematical models of thermo mechanical systems
    • Experience with Thermal Control software tools as ESATAN (TMS), ESARAD and Thermica
    • Experience with Linux-based operating systems is preferred
    • Good communication skills in speech and writing (English; Dutch is preferred but not strictly required)
    • Team player

Specific requirements: flexible, creative, conscientiously and enthusiastic

Duration:             6 Months with a possible extension
