Technical Services Engineer

Our client is one of Europe's leading cargo airlines. Due to the company's ongoing success they are recruiting a Technical Services Engineer within their Part-M engineering team, reporting to the Technical Director. This is a permanent, full-time role within their existing Technical Services Department which plays a pro-active role in the day to day support of the airline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and advice to the engineering staff.
  • Investigate difficulties encountered during maintenance activities and liaise with component vendors to assist in fault tracing.
  • Structural repair and modification support including implementing fleet modification policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with aircraft manufacturers for approved repair schemes.
  • Liaising with component or accessory vendors to assist with fault tracing.
  • Trouble shooting defects.
  • Fleet reliability analysis with a view to deriving and implementing improvements.
  • TCH and OEM liaison work.
  • To undertake technical related projects as requested.

Person Specification

  • Have an outstanding knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures.
  • Will have an aeronautical based degree or equivalent experience.
  • To be motivated with a systematic approach to problem solving.
  • An appreciation of engineering drawings and data.
  • The ability to communicate technically on all levels from shop floor to senior management.
  • An understanding of avionics systems would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of the B737 type preferable.
