Role Summary:
In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand and define requirements, develop technical proposals, and set expectations for the implementation of GE Proficy Automation, Manufacturing, or Industrial Intelligence software projects. You will act as the technical lead on projects, as well as an individual contributor, performing software implementations, solution architecture design, tailoring of software applications, and integration into enterprise systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Provide expert knowledge and experience to estimate the technical effort required to implement complex solutions.
* Lead high level technical analysis activities, such as requirements gathering and gap analysis of user requirements.
* Lead definition of solution architectures and development of detailed design specifications.
* Contribute to and potentially lead the implementation of solutions. Own technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects
* Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, influencing decisions on architecture, design, and functionality working closely with project managers
* Effectively leverage product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions
* Establish broad technical review processes to improve and obtain support for the proposed solutions
* Interact with Product Development Teams, Commercial Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner / Integrators), and other cross-functional teams as required for the solution and implement processes to ensure best use of Proficy products and services to meet project requirements
* Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with peers and team members as an inclusive technical leader, supporting pre-sale strategy, services consulting efforts, and project execution
* Effectively apply project execution methodology and standards
* Maintain & continuously update technical skills and knowledge
* Work independently as well as part of the team

* Bachelor's Degree in Software, or STEM Major (science, technology, engineering, math) from an accredited university or college
* Strong experience in industrial software services or product development functions
* Proven experience designing or implementing applications
* Strong experience with Industrial SW Solutions
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, primarily in Europe and potentially globally
* Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
* Ability to lead and mentor others
* Previous customer facing experience
* Demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and independently develop solutions
* Proven ability to write clear, concise requirements, and design documents

* Programming experience in software development with Microsoft Visual Studio / Development tools, and C# programming, ORF, HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS
* Demonstrated ability to learn new software development practices, languages, and tools
* Experience with Windows, .NET, SQL databases, Web Services and SOA technologies
* Experience in industrial software services or product development functions
* Experience designing or implementing applications
* Experience with GE Proficy products or comparable competitive products
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, primarily in Europe and potentially globally
* Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
* Ability to lead and mentor others
* Previous customer facing experience
