A vacancy exists for a Mech Elec / Avionics Technical Publications Author within Aircrew Technical Publications..
Responsibilities include the preparation of initial publications and subsequent amendments for the Aircrew publications in accordance with departmental procedures.
To assess and incorporate internal and external customer requests and to provide accurate configuration management information.
The successful candidate will need to have proven IT skills in particular be conversant with the use of MS Office and MS Outlook. Experience of modern electronic production tool-sets and Standard Generalised Mark-Up Language (SGML) would be an advantage.
Good interpersonal skills are essential with particular emphasis on two-way communication and team working.
The successful applicant must also be proficient at verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively research source data.
Familiarity with Technical Publications specifications (ASD S1000D, Defence Aircrew Documentation Specifications, Def Stan 00-60) would also be an advantage. Applicants should ideally have mechanical/electrical or Avionics experience preferably in an aerospace engineering environment.
Dependant on workload, local management may request more or less hours are worked within this contract.
