Our client is seeking a Permanent Team Lead Paint Sprayer.

Responsibilities;

  • Perform finish coat painting, spray or brush, in accordance with relevant manufacturing instructions.
  • Cover surfaces of machines or manufactured products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, enamel, glaze in conjunction with process specification PS 8300.
  • May be required to perform a painting operation that calls for unusual specifications for finishing requirements necessitating the mixing of paints to achieve the desired special effects.
  • Handling queries from members of the department when they arise.
  • Observe all necessary SHE regulations.
  • Supporting the Production Supervisor (Paint) with the tasks related directly to manufacturing, reporting on any issues, down time and general factory problems.
  • Assist the team in maintaining high standards of quality and output.
  • Understand and allocate work according to plans.
  • Responsibility for the observation of the day to day operations.
  • Supporting the Production Supervisor (Paint) to ensure that production schedules and targets are met.
  • Responsible for observing and ensuring others adhere to the organisation’s SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Policy and Procedures.
  • To liaise with colleagues in respect of following quality procedures, notifying and completing appropriate paperwork for quality assurance.
  • To assist with the movement of materials and products at the request of supervisors.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as ensuring all appropriate paperwork is completed for monitoring targets and key performance indicators as instructed by the Production Supervisor (Paint).
  • Carry out tasks as delegated by the Production Supervisor (Paint).
  • Provide feedback about product design aspects, highlighting issues as appropriate.
  • Suggest continuous improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working within a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to support others.
  • Ability and experience of working within a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good timekeeping skills.
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve targets and outcomes.
  • Computer literate.
  • Production process and performance monitoring and actioning.
