This is an exciting opportunity to work on a major Research & Technology programme within the Systems Engineering team based at Gloucester.
You will be involved in the specification, development, verification and certification of advanced landing gear systems or elements thereof. Furthermore you will be required to generate and validate requirements, develop system architectures and take part in verification activities, including supporting simulation and testing.
Candidate skills and requirements
Key aspects of this job include the following:
*Working alongside the System Integrator to develop and maintain technical requirements in DOORS. *Generating System Requirements Documents and Equipment Requirements Documents using DOORS. *Writing Validation Plans and Verification Plans. *Generating Validation Matrices and Verification Matrices using DOORS. *Ability and willingness to communicate and work with all disciplines of engineering and external suppliers. *A sound knowledge of systems engineering theory together with knowledge of the principles of safety and reliability is beneficial. *Familiarity with ARP4754 and ARP4761 would be very beneficial. *You will also have knowledge of the principles of mechanical engineering. *Previous experience of landing gear systems will be very beneficial. *Ability to write technical reports clearly and accurately (in English). *A systems engineering practitioner with 2 to 8 years' experience in the aerospace or defence industry.
