RESPONSIBILITIES:
Description/Comment: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
This job requires a bachelorâs degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from an ABET accredited school of engineering, and 14 or more years of specialized engineering experience. An advanced degree in either an engineering or related field is desirable and may substitute for 2 years of the experience requirement. Professional Engineer License is desired. Candidate with a bachelorâs or higher degree in engineering technology, physics, mathematics, architecture, or computer science (not programming or MIS) may also qualify for this position.
