SUPPORT ENGINEER - IT CRITICAL FACILITIES
London with international travel
Our client is a major international airline with a worldwide network of offices across major airports and travel agencies. They are looking for a contract IT Support Engineer based at a major Airport in London. The I.T Support Engineer will be part of a team responsible for all of the activities and projects in their region and will work closely with Field Services. The Support Engineer will support the projects which can consist of site surveys, producing PowerPoint and Visio drawing, produce a bill of materials for ongoing projects, the installation, relocation, and removal of electronic equipment including servers, network switches, ups, etc.
SKILL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· College/University level Technician infrastructure coursework or related technical experience preferred
· BICSI certification is preferred but not mandatory
· Any IT certifications of training and achievement preferred · Be well versed in all Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, MS Visio which are used to create site surveys, ideally Microsoft accredited
· Have both strong oral and written communication skills · Be able to work in a very structured and process driven environment.
Candidates will ideally have at least 2 to 3 years within an IT Critical Infrastructure installations or have equivalent work experience. The role will suit someone who enjoys both a hands on approach and customer/stakeholder facing responsibilities. The role could lead to a permanent opportunity and will in time involve international travel so candidates must have a valid British passport.
