Morson International are currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Specialist/Asset Manager to work for one of our Aerospace/Defence Clients based in Hook, Hampshire. This is a contract role for 12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure customer supply & maintenance demands are filled to support Primary Maintenance repair output. Co-ordinate the supply of parts and components to support demand against key repair assemblies in line with the recognised BOM.

Day to Day responsibilities include:

  1. Solving day-to-day supply chain problems.
  2. Collecting and analyzing supply & maintenance data for tactical decision-making.
  3. Efficiently prioritize all tasks and work queues to best support the programme.
  4. Executing Material Management best practices, ensuring adherence to common supply chain procedures, determining and coordinating continuous supply chain process improvement opportunities.
  5. Key interfaces include:
      1. Liaison between all supply chain teams
      2. Regular interactions with the materials and forecasting team for demand forecasting & planning.
      3. Spares Engineering for aircraft and bill of material configuration issues.
      4. Field Service Representatives for technical query resolution.
      5. Order processing & procurement (Order Controllers) for supply scheduling and quantity supply issues.
      6. Warehouse & Distribution personnel for issues, receipts, material grief dispositions & inventory reconciliations.
  6. Execute existing repair contracts and ensure unserviceable parts are sent for repair and returned in a timely manner. Manage parts disposal where parts are no longer required, seeking disposition instructions and following through with the instructions.
  7. Attend/host internal meetings as necessary. Travel to external meetings with suppliers, customers as required.

Applicants will ideally have knowledge of the following:

  1. Ability to access and use the MJDI parts inventory system.
  2. Good IT skills, with extensive use and application of Enterprise Business TAV, SPO, COPPR, MS2, LDM, GOLD.
  3. Good understanding of Bills of Material structure and use within a Manufacturing Execution System. Experience of working with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning System.
