Job Description:Our client, a leader in the Aerospace industry is seeking experienced structural mechanics to start IMMEDIATELY: Location: Savannah, GAPay: Based on Experience - Structural Mechanics for a long term contract opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee.- Responsible for performing a variety of structural assembly operations - assembly and fitting of aircraft parts and structures from drilling and riveting operations.- Rivet structural assemblies using various hand tools - drills, rivet guns, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers.- Must be able to remove and replace rivets and fasteners without damaging structures.- Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:- High School Diploma or GED. - 3+ years structural assembly experience - sheet metal - assembly - fabrication.- Able to read and interpret blueprints.- Skilled in close tolerance work a MUST- Able to perform basic math functions and use math formulas by solving dimensional problems.- Able to life 40lbs.
