Aerotek Aviation, LLC. has partnered with a leader in the Aerospace industry that is seeking experienced Structural Mechanics to start IMMEDIATELY: Location: Savannah, GAPay: Based on Experience - Structural Mechanics for a long term contract opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee- Responsible for performing a variety of structural assembly operations - assembly and fitting of aircraft parts and structures from drilling and riveting operations- Rivet structural assemblies using various hand tools - drills, rivet guns, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers- Must be able to remove and replace rivets and fasteners without damaging structures- Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fastenersREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:- High School Diploma or GED- 3+ years structural assembly experience - sheet metal - assembly - fabrication- Able to read and interpret blueprints- Skilled in close tolerance work a MUST- Able to perform basic math functions and use math formulas by solving dimensional problems.- Able to lift 40lbs.
