FPS Aviation are presnetly seeking a Stores & Logistics Co-ordinator for a prestigious fixed wing client in the South east of England.

 

Department:                            Stores & Logistics

Reporting directly to:               Stores & Logistics Manager

Direct Reports:                         None  

 Hours:                                      4 on 4 off shift pattern, hours 07:00 - 19.00



Job Purpose

 

To ensure the maintenance and reliability of the networked system to support the maintenance activity and business needs, control of tool/quarantine stores, along with the control and recording of the procurement process (parts and service) from price enquiry / requisition, to goods arrival, in accordance with Company procedures and policies.

 

Job Content

 

  1. Timely inspection and booking in of all Goods inwards, appropriately prioritised

 

  1. Control and storage of inventory records

 

  1. Carry out issuance of stock / tooling

 

  1. Monitor consumables stock levels to prevent shortages

 

  1. Handle, timely despatch and record off-cores, including liaising with suppliers as necessary

 

  1. Timely and accurate recording of all other stock movements in the networked system

 

  1. Provide manual handling as required

 

  1. Effect purchase orders with reference to specific requirements on timing, cost, certification, location

 

  1. Manage orders once placed

 

10.  Monitor and expedite shipping issues

 

11.  Accurately record processes in the networked system

 

12.  Control hard copy records, including filing and archiving

 

13.  Liaise with other departments as necessary

 

14.  Manage and promote BQH’s relationships with suppliers

15.  Fulfil all relevant requirements of the Company handbook, Procedures and MOE

 

16.  Other duties and tasks may be assigned as required

 

 

Education requirements

 

  • Fluent in spoken and written English 
  • Numeracy skills
  • Computer and Microsoft Office tools literacy including Excel  
  • Database experience
  • Aviation background and/or experience desirable

 

 

Personal skills required

 

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with initiative and a pro-active approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Team Player
