Role: Stores Inspector
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Hours: 8hrs day shift
Our client provides vast in-house Landing Gear repair and overhaul capabilities at its London based facility. They are now seeking Stores Goods Inspector.
·The final inspection of mechanical components
·Final inspection being conducted in line with all OEM, legislative, and Industry requirements providing right first time, quality primary structural aircraft products.
·Associated duties include:
·Management of consumable items.
·Ensuring the correct functioning of the quality infrastructure.
·Inspection/duplicate inspection of single components or completed assemblies/sub-assemblies.
·Liaison with associated departments & Suppliers if necessary.
·All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures”
·An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures
·All duties being performed both on an individual basis and as part of a small team meeting tight deadlines utilizing a safe methodical working practice.
·You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record book.
·You are required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience, Develop stores team to increase their quality inspections awareness with regard to in-coming and out-going goods.
·Liaise with suppliers to get C of C for material aircraft related and none aircraft related.
·Liaise with Suppliers & Internal customers with regard to managing “DQ/Block stock”
·Be a proactive member of the stores team
·Step in where necessary to resolve queries and get through goods in/out process within stores.
·Develop stores team to increase their quality inspections awareness.
·Work closely with the Manager, Supervisor either resolving issues or introducing improvements to stores processes.
·You must have worked within an EASA/FAA approved organisation
·Excellent communication skills both written and oral
·Able to work under pressure
