Specific Job Description
For and on behalf of Lockheed Martin and as directed by Lockheed Martin Business.
Provide development capability into the LISS Team with a focus on extending an in-house simulation modelling tool Closed Loop Automated Sustainment Service (CLASS) and system integration with Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other external customer systems. General application support may also be required.
An integral part of Lockheed Martin’s customer support organisation, the candidate shall fulfil as a minimum (but not be restricted to) the following duties and tasks:
Creation and improvement of CLASS for various customers (C#, SQL Server, MVC, OPUS, SIMLOX, Bootstrap).
Internal and external customer requirements gathering.
Support of the various LISS business applications and interfaces.
Occasional database administration support on SQL Server databases.
Follow Agile software development practices.
Provide support expertise to existing systems in Microsoft SharePoint, ASP .Net, SQL Server, and Microsoft Office.
The role will not be authorized to provide services to Lockheed Martin, which are directly related to business development, acquisition, or sales efforts for a Lockheed Martin customer or potential customer. Any exception to this rule can only be granted, in advance, by the Lockheed Martin UK Business Practices representative or legal counsel representative.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
The candidate must have detailed experience with the following software / languages / standards:
* ASP .Net
* Microsoft SQL Server
* Web Services (WCF)
It would be beneficial if the candidate had experience of the following:
* OPUS / SIMLOX, or other logistics simulation tools
* Oracle 11g RDBMS
* PL / SQL
The candidate must show a disciplined approach to software development underpinned with experience of development methodologies such as SCRUM, MSF, RUP etc.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and work well in a team environment.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the intellectual calibre and confidence to conduct complex discussions with civilian / MoD customers and suppliers.
Additional occasional duties and tasks will include:
* Ensuring that required processes and procedures are in place and updated to cover the following aspects of databases, applications, servers, and helpdesk support:
* Timely resolution to customer enquiries.
* Meeting all service level agreements (SLA), with escalation of any risks to the LISS Team Lead.
* Providing support to databases, applications, servers, and helpdesk, proactively monitoring the overall level of service, ensuring that any downward trends are quickly addressed, and seeking ways to improve the efficiency of the system to meet customer requirements.
The position is based at Havant, but occasional travel will be required.
Desired skills, qualifications and experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the management and deployment of logistics information and / or business intelligence systems.
Existing clearance to DV/SC level will be preferred but a willingness to undergo SC clearance is essential.
