Site Maintenance Engineer

Location: Southend-on-Sea

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 37 per week

The Role of a Site Engineer.

 The successful Site Engineer will be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on all production machinery which will mainly consist of aircraft wheel and brake tooling and cleaning machinery You will work report directly in to the Service Engineer. You will be working closely with the Service Engineer and will be getting involved with project work and continuous improvements.

 Main Responsibilities :

Maintain / repair the current and future tooling and machinery within the factory

Help to improve its reliability and performance of machinery and equipment

Carry out site maintenance and special projects.

During quieter periods of maintenance, we will provide you with training and experience within our wheel, brake and hydraulic shops allowing you to learn the repair and overhaul process of the aircraft wheels, brakes and hydraulic components.

Key Skills:

A practical background is a must and the position would be suited to a multi-skilled installation engineer with a slight bias towards electrical.

The successful Site Engineer would need to be ideally suited to working on continuous improvement projects.

Training will be given.

Hours of work will be 08:00 hrs to 16.30 hrs Monday to Thursday and 08:00 hrs to 15:30 hrs Fridays, with half an hour for lunch. Overtime is not mandatory is this position, however it would expected should workload or a project require it.

Overtime is paid at base rate,

Saturday overtime is paid at time + half, providing you have completed 5 working hours of overtime during the working week leading up to that weekend.

Salary offered for this position is £15,000.00 per annum to £19,000.00 dependant on experience

Holiday entitlement is 20 days for the first year, increasing one day per year thereafter to a maximum of 25 days, weekends and national holidays are in addition.

Dress code.: Will be provided with all associated PPE

Full clean driving licence is required.
