RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified electrical technicians (ELE/AVI) are required to perform duties such as removing and replacing low voltage power supplies, line replaceable units in center console, 245 bulkhead, IBIT with PMA, BAU's, replacing approximately 180 cannon plugs, and performing operational checks as required.
Persons hired for these positions should have a minimum of 7 years experience that emphasizes the avionics/electrical experience, to include troubleshooting, in a heavy aircraft maintenance or modification environment. Ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot and repair all types of avionics equipment and electrical systems using electrical schematics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in an Aircraft Electrical Systems Line Maintenance and/or Electrical Component Overhaul Work environment required
-Must possess knowledge of Standard Wiring Practices using:
-Contact crimp tools
-Inserting/Extraction tools
-Wire Stripping methods
-Connective types and contacts
-Experience with Wire Routing requirements
-Must be able to locate, read and follow the technical data appropriate for the assigned task(s)
-Should be able to use Precision Measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks
REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Airframe license
-Must have at least 7 years aviation electrical experience.
-6 of 24 months of recent experience as an aviation electrician is required.
- Ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot and repair all types of avionics equipment and electrical systems using electrical schematics. -A valid clear driver's license.
-Preferred selection will be given to candidates possessing C-130 or P-3 experience.
NOTE:
-Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, crawl, twist, bend, lie on creepers, gain entry to and work in confined areas, and work from elevated platforms (reached from ladders and powered lifts).
- Must be willing to work long hours as necessary, while adhering to strict regulatory specifications and guidance
-Must be willing to wear all required safety equipment (Personal Protective Equipment - PPE).
TRAVEL DETAILS:
-C-130 Connector Mod Team Qatar (consisting of aircraft electricians and structural sheet metal mechanics). Team will be traveling to Doha, Qatar for approximately 90 days.
-Connector Mod Team must be willing to travel to various locations.
-FTO shall pay for necessary passport, work permits, etc. that is required to work in
Qatar.
-The working schedule shall consist of one shift, eight (8) hour day, five (5) days per week
(Monday through Friday)
- Pay rate is $30 per hour
- Contract employee must possess or be able to obtain a passport.
- Meals and Incidental expenses paid at 100% for location assigned per Joint Travel Regulation Rate - will require submission of expense report.
- Lodging is actual housing rate paid at 100% for location assigned per Joint Travel Regulation Rate - will require submission of expense report.
- Coach class airline travel paid to and from assignment - if contract employee chooses to drive they will be reimbursed mileage only (based on Joint Travel Regulation Rate) to and from assignment.
TOOLBOX IS REQUIRED
$114 M/I, $227 Lodging

Leave for Qatar July 5th - September 30
