About Your Job

Responsible  for leading the continuous improvement initiative in QACC, consult with process owner and department managers to identify areas where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, quality, cost and to ensure that process improvements initiatives support the strategic priorities of our partners and customers. This position is performed to deliver operational improvements to the QACC business to significantly impact the QACC efficiency, quality and customer experience.

Provide a leadership in the development and management of an organisational culture that achieves business excellence through the development of methodologies, frameworks, strategies, policies, and plans that support the culture of business excellence and ensures this is  aligned to customer excellence and regulatory compliance.

Accountabilities

Strategic

  • Lead operational excellence concepts and workforce effectiveness concurrent with Business growth/ Introduction of new manufacturing strategies/ meeting company financial objectives/ meeting company and / or business unit goals in relation to safety, quality and real- time manufacturing improvements
  • Drawn lead and implement continuous service/ process improvement strategy with focus on customer needs to achieve service excellence.

Operational

  • Develop and promote continuous management improvement across the business, and develop a culture of business excellence through continual improvement and benchmarking
  • Create a culture which supports disciplined and systematic process management : data driven decision making: continuous improvement aligned with established strategy & objectives

Safety Accountabilities

  • Be the custodian of the Business Health and Safety Manual H&S related records and library of safety related information
  • Ensure the company H&S policy, arrangements and procedures are available and communicated to the business team, managers and staff
  • Maintain the safety six register for the business and plan to manage same

Management & Leadership

  • Establish the department and business unit objectives and priorities to align with the corporate  objectives
  • Regularly evaluate the department and business unit objectives, plans, procedures, and practices, and makes appropriate changes as required to ensure bench mark standards.

Development

  • Take responsibility for own personal development and growth of expertise
  • Train and develop team members/ employees for proper succession planning in safety and security management
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program

Operational Safety

  • Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure  employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude

Qualifications Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • Diploma in occupational Health and Safety Management or related field
  • Executive Management - minimum 10 years of job-related experience required
  • Must have had minimum 10 years management experience in a high performing organisation were business excellence was a key initiative and driver
