Security Guard - Contract

Location : Almondbank , Perth

Aeropeople are looking for an experienced security guard who will be responsible for providing an overt security presence to protect the our clients site, its assets and employees from security and physical threats and respond to emergencies by contacting the relevant stakeholders, call-out list or emergency services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

?Responsible for carrying out all guarding duties to a high standard, and in accordance with the Almondbank Business Manual procedures.
?Maintain familiarity with the relevant procedures of the Almondbank Business Manual referring any anomalies or required amendments to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
?Comply with all Health & Safety legislation relating to the role and be proactive in reporting safety hazards and accidents in accordance with current instructions.
?Carry out vehicle searches.
?Control vehicle and pedestrian access to, and egress from, the site.
?Issuing of passes.
?Writing reports on breaches of security or defects etc. and forward to Line Manager.
?Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV and alarms.
?Provide additional First Aid cover for the site, particularly outside normal working hours.
?Prevention of fire. Liaise with emergency services in an emergency. Co-operate with other security providers.
?Safeguard classified information and materials.
?Operate and communicate effectively.
?Issue and receipt of keys and ensuring their timely return.
?Recording information on computerised and manual systems.
?Lock up/open up of all buildings & carry out internal patrols.
?To aid the business by taking receipt of parcels/packages from couriers after business hours.
?Franking the business mail, and taking receipt of incoming mail.
?During inclement weather carry out snow and clearance duties.
?During silent hours carry out regular fence and external building patrols checking boiler status and plating shop conditions.
?To carry out other duties as required and detailed separately, with appropriate training.

Competencies

Essential

?Able and comfortable to work alone and unsupervised and supporting the team.
?Planning and organising work to achieve key objectives.
?Organising, recording and retrieving information using computer and manual systems.
?Using available resources to achieve value for money.
?Managing the provision of services.

Skills

?Good communication skills.
?IT literacy.
?Decision making skills using initiative.
?Maintain a good level of fitness.
