easyJet
Salary: Negotiable
Location: Luton
Job type: Permanent
Contact: easyJet Airline
Sector: Aviation
Job Role: Analyst Jobs

We are Europe's leading airline, operating on over 820 routes across more than 30 countries with our fleet of over 250 Airbus aircraft. We employ over 10,000 people including more than 2,300 pilots and 5,000 cabin crew. We fly more than 70 million passengers a year.

We have strong positions in key airports: No. 1 in Gatwick, Edinburgh, Nice, Milan Malpensa, Venice Marco Polo, Naples, Basel and Geneva; No. 2 at Amsterdam, London Stansted, Paris Charles De Gaulle, and Lyon with over 300 million people within a one hour drive of an easyJet airport.

As the UK's largest airline, we're one of the biggest success stories in modern aviation. This is generation easyJet, and we're looking for a bright and talented Schedule Planner to join our hard-working, high-achieving team and help us develop our leading network.

Working in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment, you'll put your skills to excellent use here. The network & scheduling team at easyJet design and deliver seasonal schedules for the airline's growing fleet and are responsible for the detail of where we fly to, at what times and from which bases. To support this function, easyJet now requires a Schedule Planner to work within key commercial requirements and operational constraints to produce lines of aircraft flying from between one month to eighteen months ahead. The Schedule Planner will design these lines of work to optimise the efficient use of the airlines assets, namely aircraft, crew and slots.

The Schedule Planner will produce draft schedules, communicate the key details of these schedules to the relevant business areas and ensure the schedule lines of flying are within bases that deliver to key operational parameters. Keeping the schedule within KPI limits for re-times and cancellations, the Schedule Planner will monitor the "80/20" compliance during season and take appropriate action to ensure slots are retained.

A business critical role, the Schedule Planner will interface with a variety of teams across the network and liaise regularly with external stakeholders.

Educated to degree level with experience in the airline industry, we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of IATA airport codes and SSIM chapter 6, relevant to the request and maintenance of airport take-off and landing slots at level 2 and 3 airport
  • An understanding of IATA Worldwide Slot Guidelines with reference to the Use-it or Lose-it rule and Eligibility for Historic Preference
  • Fluency in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word

A knowledge of the easyJet network, airports, routes and bases alongside a knowledge of easyJet IT systems such as AIMS and ERes is desirable, but not essential

At easyJet, our goal is to inspire a whole generation of travellers to say 'yes' to new experiences. As Europe's leading airline, we fly more of Europe's top 100 routes than any other airline and last year we connected over 70 million people across more than 30 countries. As our people are at the heart of our success, we want to share it with them. Great travel benefits are just the start. As well as heavily reduced flights and a free easyJet Plus! card, you'll enjoy discounted holidays, car hire and hotels. Plus, you can look forward to a vibrant, fast paced and forward thinking environment.
