Job Description

The company is seeking an additional FIELD SERVICE engineer to support customers in the UK and Worldwide in the installation, commissioning and repair of advanced Satellite Communications systems. You will need to demonstrate an advanced understanding of the service and repair of this equipment which will include fault finding to board and possibly component level.
The role will involve a high degree of flexibility as you will be required to travel to wherever the client's customers are situated. This will certainly involve overnight stays and international travel, so you must be able to demonstrate flexibility. Whilst in the UK you will be based in the Surrey area so you will need to have access to Reigate / Horley area.

Person Specification

You will be required to demonstrate:

An education to HNC / HND level in electronics or similar.
Proven experience of the commissioning, fault finding and repair of VHF communication systems to include SatComs and DataComs systems
Flexibility to travel throughout the UK, Europe and occasionally further afield
It would be highly advantageous if you have had experience in the installation. repair and maintenance of GMDSS systems.
