Role: Direct Sales Executive

Salary: £30,000 + Commission

Location: Weybridge

My client is a stocking distributor and provider of innovative supply chain management solutions to the Aerospace industry supplying Fastening Solutions & Tooling Distribution worldwide of: Aerospace Fasteners, Electrical products, Bearings, Standard and non-standard parts, Tooling and consumables for assembly lines, Class C items, they now seek a Direct Sales Executive to join them on a permanent contract.

Description

The role involves extensive interaction with customers within the Aerospace Sector, in order to secure order intake and meet demanding annual sales targets. A broad understanding of the international Aerospace & Defence market, especially in fasteners, is required. Gathering of market intelligence and competitor analysis will be required, in order to develop and execute winning campaigns.

The role will involve considerable internal engagement & responsibility to articulate the argument for pursuing a prospect, identify the win strategy, and secure long term relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Sales or Business Development, in the Aerospace & Defence sector.

Experience of supplying Fastening Solutions & Tooling Distribution worldwide of: Aerospace Fasteners, Electrical products, Bearings, Standard and non-standard parts, Tooling and consumables for assembly lines, Class C items is necessary

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Secure order intake to meet forecast targets for current and future years by managing a portfolio of key customers and opportunities.
  • Identify and create opportunities for future sales/growth.
  • Work closely with Bid Management to lead and coordinate all bid activity.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Customers & End Users as well as Industrial Partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including Regional Marketing, the Capability function and Business Development.
  • Utilise internal company procedures to ensure that opportunities are identified and tracked and accurately reported to senior management.


Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • A demonstrable record of success in developing and managing key sales or strategic campaigns within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
  • A understanding of Fastening Solutions & Tooling Distribution, Aerospace Fasteners, Electrical products, Bearings, Standard and non-standard parts, Tooling and consumables for assembly lines, Class C items is necessary.
  • Innovative thinker and self-starter able to anticipate and overcome problems in a complex international sales environment.
  • Commercially and financially aware, with experience of negotiating and closing deals.
  • Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations and export control procedures
  • Excellent communications skills, capable of briefing at all levels whilst engendering trust.
  • Able to write concise communication & instructions.

Intrinsic Factors

  • Required to make occasional visits (including overnight stays) to customer facilities both in the UK and overseas.
  • Occasional requirement to work to extremely tight deadlines.
  • Provide input and general support for events (exhibitions, demonstrations, conferences, etc) as required.
