Revenue Management: Pricing Analyst

Pricing decisions need to support the overall company strategy. Pricing analyst is required to provide valuable insight into factors that contribute to revenues, profits, costs, competitive positioning, and long-term market opportunities. The Analyst must ensure Jet Airways’ competitiveness in the market place at all times by monitoring demand, competitor pricing activities, market trends and socio-economic changes. Analyst must be able to evaluate pricing recommendations, suggest pricing promotions/tactical and devise creative pricing strategies for both domestic and international markets considering the above factors. He / she will work closely with various functional units when establishing pricing policies and procedures for new products or services.

Their assignments typically involve quantitative and qualitative analysis of a competitive situation, development of recommendations, and written and/or oral presentation of those recommendations to Management.

Job Description:

*

Review and evaluate pricing proposals based on financial analysis, competitive assessment/trend analysis, market dynamics and regulatory issues.

*

Identify broken pricing processes and streamline them to ensure competitiveness in the market.

*

Identify competitor price changes, perform analysis to determine and develop Jet Airways reaction and implement decisions.

*

Assess impact of various pricing and promotional activities and prepare executive summary on various pricing initiatives.

*

Undertake detailed proration calculations, analyses and assessments on interline pricing.

*

Interact with Area Marketing and Sales Departments to optimally respond to various pricing request / recommendations.

*

Analyze the usage of various fare products and optimize various fare product to be offered in the market.

Candidate's Profile:

*

The applicant should have minimum 4 years work experience.

*

The applicant should be a graduate with minimum.

*

Preference will be given to those with postgraduate degree/ diploma in Management Studies.

*

Knowledge of Revenue accounting, interline proration/settlement/agreements and BSP process will be added advantage.

*

Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills is a perquisite for this role.

*

Proven ability to work independently as well as well as interact with various team at all levels and across different cultures.

*

The applicant should have excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
