Are you an experienced Reliability Engineer?  

JMC are currently recruiting for a Reliability Engineer for a long term contract based in the South West of the UK.  


Immediate start

Long term contract

Working Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600 however flexible working hours  

Responsibilities include;  

  • Review the current reliability program and create process maps.
  • Identify improvements for the reliability program and define additional processes required.
  • Assist in gathering in a centralized database the operator's aircraft reliability and maintenance data Assist in developing database queries and reports to facilitate the analysis of the operator's aircraft reliability and maintenance data
  • Analyze and make recommendations to improve the customers’ aircraft reliability and maintenance data collection and reporting process
  • Report regularly on the quality of the customer's aircraft reliability and maintenance data
  • Assist in developing new processes and ensure complete implementation within agreed upon timelines.
  • Develop comprehensive reports to provide insight on reliability performance of company’s fleet.
  • Develop report to meet the Regulatory Authorities requirements of company’s reliability program.
  • Define processes and tools to allow the operator to maintain their maintenance program and adjust scheduled task intervals according to fleet performance.
  • Assist the Reliability Engineer (s) at the airline in performing various analyses as required.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Engineering team members  


The ideal candidate will need to meet these requirements:  

  • University Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in Industrial or Aerospace or College Diploma in Aviation Technology with at least 5 years’ experience in Aerospace Industry.
  • Strong analytical abilities and experience using statistics to resolve engineering problems.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Software products - especially Excel and Access Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of aircraft systems is desirable
  • Knowledge of the Weibull distribution would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Program Development (MSG-3) will be an asset.
