Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the continuation of TAG Farnborough Engineering's approvals by monitoring compliance with, and the adequacy of procedures and processes required to exceed the Company's objectives for 'world class' standards in terms of safe and airworthy products. This role includes the monitoring, control and training of staff as it pertains to their job functions. 

Key Responsibilities and Roles

Part of the Senior Management team that sets a new vision for TAG Farnborough Engineering and translates that into goals and objectives for the Quality and Training team in providing the highest business aviation standards in terms of safety and customer service.

Monitors compliance with EASA Part-145, identifying non-compliances in an effective and timely manner

Responsible for monitoring the quality system and the associated feedback system, as required by EASA Part-145.A.65(c)

Responsible for the monitoring and submission of amendments of the Company MOE, including associated procedures manuals and submission of the proposed amendments to the competent authority

Responsible for the Company's safety and quality policy, acting as the Company's advocate for the 'safety culture' including the encouragement of reporting

Facilitates hazard identification, risk analysis and management

Monitors the implementation of actions to mitigate risks as listed in the safety action plan

Provides advice on safety matters and produces periodic reports for safety performance

Ensures safety management training is available and that it meets acceptable standards

Ensures initiation and follow-up on internal occurrences and accident investigations

Responsible for the TAG Farnborough Engineering Quality Assurance Programme

Monitors contracted maintenance ensuring it is carried out in accordance with the contract

Produces a Training Plan to enable all Company staff remain in compliance with regulatory requirements and approved for appropriate aircraft types

Ensures safety training (conducted by the Company or an appropriate training organisation) is acceptable to the competent authority and delivered to the plan

Ensures staff are assessed for each job function, and personal records are catalogued and maintained

Ensures certifying staff are issued with appropriate Company authorisations

Produces an Audit Plan for both internal and external audits and ensures the audits are carried out

Responsible for the Company's internal self-monitoring quality audits and reporting

Liaises and negotiates on behalf of the Company with the auditing surveyors of the competent authorities

Monitors the Company's activities for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and any additional requirements as established by the Company and that these activities are being carried out properly under the supervision of the nominated person (ref. EASA Part-145.A.30(b))

Responsible for ensuring that the compliance monitoring programme is properly implemented, maintained and continually reviewed and improved

Responsible for the development administration and maintenance of effective Safety Management System and associated processes, and performs the function of 'Safety Officer'

Chairs the Company Quality Meeting and Company Training Meeting

Responsible for the issuance of one-off certification authorisations

Implements the Company's Environmental Health & Safety Policy

Assists with the implementation of new systems e.g. Quantum
