An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer (Supply Chain) to join Britten-Norman Aircraft Ltd, a subsidiary of the Britten-Norman Limited, producer of one of the most successful civil aircraft ever manufactured in the UK.
Purpose of the role
Responsible for the independent monitoring of Suppliers in accordance with BNA Company and Regulatory Requirements in respect of EASA Parts 21G, EASA Part 145 and ISO 9000. Responsible for the Supplier Audit Programme.
Main tasks will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the Supplier Management System: Development of the Supplier Audit Programme and maintaining the programme in compliance with BNA Company and Regulatory Requirements.
Carrying out Supplier Audits and reviews in accordance with the requirements of the plan and Company / Regulatory Requirements.
Escorting of Regulatory and Customer Auditors.
Validation of the effectiveness of Supplier NCR Corrective Actions, Root Cause Analysis and Root Cause Corrective Actions and working with Suppliers to ensure timely and effective action is taken in all cases.
Assisting in the maintenance and development of Expositions and Procedures in respect to Suppliers.

Communication: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills with ability to retain composure and flexibility under pressure
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook
Organisation: Ability to multi-task and to determine and manage priorities to meet multiple deadlines
Team Working: Effective in a team and as an individual. Precise, accurate and meticulousness. Reliable, pro-active and self-confident.
Minimum qualifications requirements:
Minimum of 5 GSCEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English and maths
Apprenticeship in Aerospace Industry or military equivalent
Certificated training as an Auditor
Certificated training in Part 21G or Part 145
Certificated training in Human Factors
Certificated Quality Assurance Qualifications
Certificated Technical education or background
Experience of working within the Aerospace Industry for a significant period (following a recognised apprenticeship or similar structured training) in a Quality Engineering role, in an aerospace production or aircraft / component maintenance environment
Experience of working within the Aerospace Industry in Supplier Auditing
Experience of working with Regulators
Experience in Quality Techniques including Root Cause Analysis
Ability to read and interpret engineering data such as, drawings & specifications
Working Knowledge of EASA Parts 21G & Part 145
