Aircraft Project Manager

This challenging and varied position will give the successful Project Manager the opportunity to become part of the UK's largest independent aerospace and defence company. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will offer the successful Project Manger a competitive salary and benefits package with the potential for career development..

Your responsibilities will include:-

  • Reporting on progress and key programme issues
  • Regular interaction with the Aircraft Team to ensure that progress is being achieved in line with the plan and to communicate programme issues.
  • Communication with Engineering, Logistics and Operations Management teams to provide priorities, identification of risks/issues and key areas of focus.
  • Make tactical project decisions, related to cost and delivery.
  • Working with the Operations Senior Management Team to assist Operations strategic direction and wider improvements.
  • Work with Aircraft Team Lead to manage the delivery of the aircraft programme in-line with resource/logistical constraints.
  • Ensure that the quality standards, practices and processes are adhered to the wider project. Product quality (e.g. the aircraft) is the responsibility of the Team Leader.

Qualifications / Experience:-

  • Project Management experience
  • Financial management
  • Risk management
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Advanced application in related work
  • Good level of Corporate awareness
  • Individual needs to be a self starter, with high energy levels, the ability to tackle difficult problems and see them through to the end

Beneficial

  • Identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Experience of delivering projects through the but with particular attention on the transition into build and then delivery

Desirable

  • MSP trained to intermediate level
