Our client is a leading global supplier of commercial aircraft components. They deal with the sale, exchange lease and repair of rotables.

They are seeking a Powerplant Engineer on a contract basis, initially for 3-6 months.

Objectives:

  • Engine & APU Shop Visit management
  • Shop visit workscope planning
  • Program management
  • Powerplant Pre-purchase due diligence
  • Engine & APU Fleet technical management
  • Aircraft and powerplant lease return support

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Engine & APU shop visit scheduling
  • Engine & APU workscope definition
  • Review of shop-visit invoices
  • Review, assessment and recommendation of airworthiness publications including Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and component service bulletins
  • Engine and APU reliability analysis
  • Inspection and review of removed engine material
  • Review of borescope reports, video’s and pictures
  • Communication with powerplant manufacturer and engine shop
  • Customer liaison and communication
  • Ensuring contract delivery
  • Physical powerplant inspection during purchase and disposal
  • Technical records reviews during purchase, disposal and following shop visit.

 

Personal specification:

  • Engineering degree, EASA licence or suitable work experience
  • Expert user of IT systems
  • Knowledge of civil aircraft engine and APU models 
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Team player
